Superintendent Dr. Mark Hatchell talks about the first month of school and new construction projects during the September Monthly Minute.
It might not feel like fall, but we are in the midst of my favorite fall school activities; band competitions and sports are underway, and we have officially entered homecoming season.
And although 90-degree temps aren’t ideal for fall sports, it sure helps the construction of our bond projects.
Chinook Trail Middle School is no longer a vacant field. It is full of cranes, dump trucks and a lot of construction workers. The same is true for the new home of School in the Woods.
Barring a snowy winter and a rainy spring, School in the Woods will receive the keys to its new home after the holidays and Chinook Trail Middle School will open for the 2019-2020 school year.
Our teams are also working hard to ensure teachers and staff begin using powerful tools like Schoology and Workday – also part of our bond projects. Workday will transform how we conduct day-to-day business and Schoology will provide a convenient online platform for teachers, students and parents to stay in touch and complete assignments.
I must once again thank you for your support of the 2016 Bond Initiative. We could not accomplish so much, or provide such great resources, without your partnership.
